Vision

“a safe and healthy community, vibrant town centre, strong local economy…
with better transport connections, plenty of community facilicites…
affordable housing and efficient public services …
retaining its attractive, green and unique character…”

These are some of the things Elmbridge Borough Council cites as ‘Our future vision’ in the new Elmbridge Core Strategy for the next 15 years.

From vision to action
Heart of Weybridge supports that Elmbridge vision. It’s a fine vision. Full of good intent. But can we help make it more than just fine words?

We want to see a clear vision for Weybridge, translated into actions that benefit Weybridge as a town and a community.

What matters most to YOU for the future of Weybridge? Do you see priorities for action over the coming years?

We don’t want superstores anymore, we need peacefull town centre not full of traffics and closed shops only because supermarkets are opened every where. People now days wants more varieties not just cheap food under one big super markets roof.
People needs places to socialise not ending up in supermarkets all the time. How much one supermarket damages local shop keepers,? No one cares for that, people don’t care if it’s creats traffic if turns their high streets into ghost towns, until they realise it..
    NO TO SUPERMARKETS IN WEYBRIDGE
